Problem #1 I currently have the front page set up to show 4 columns. I like the look of three columns better but when I pick that option some of my titles start to the right of the thumbnails and then drop down where they go (under thumbnail). I noticed this happened on the theme's own home page as well. However, this site http://www.frugalfamilyfunblog.com seems to use the 3 columns with no issue, although her post titles appear differently than mine or the ones on the theme's own home page.
Problem #2 I have the date and comment count in my thumbnails on frontpage. However, a little calendar pic also appears. Can I remove that? The site I referenced above (frugalfamilyfunblog) does not have it in hers so I know there must be a way. Thanks!
